H2O - 'feast or famine'
In 2024, the 'DANA' storms dropped a year's rainfall in just eight hours in Valencia. Meanwhile, Catalonia's most recent drought reduced freshwater reserves to just 18%—around 44 days of supply.
{nkaptur} began with a local pig farm, and the village, running out of water during one of our recurring droughts, leading to wider innovations in gas, soil and water management.
As an important contributor to Spain’s world-leading production of pork, dairy, wine, cereals, fruit and vegetables, the project expanded from its local origins to address our shared challenges.
